Kite surfer attacked by shark off Stuart Beach dies from multiple bites

A man was killed by sharks in a rare fatal attack this afternoon in the waters off Stuart, authorities said. The man, whose name wasn't made public, was kite surfing south of Stuart Beach about 4:15 p.m. when the sharks attacked him, said Bureau Chief Doug Killane of Martin County Fire-Rescue. A lifeguard spotted the man floating in an unguarded stretch of ocean, jumped on a rescue board and paddled out to him. He pulled the man away from the sharks and carried him back to shore.

Internet 'addiction' linked to depression

The longer you spend surfing the Web, the more unhappy you’re likely to be, says a new study from Great Britain that shows that Internet “addicts” are more likely to be depressed. Researchers analyzed Internet use and depression levels in more than 1,000 British residents between the ages of 16 and 51. Some 1.2% were labeled “Internet addicted” by researchers at Leeds University.

An amazing pic captured just off OB shows two surfers getting oh, too close. Local photographer David Poller was enjoying a Monday in Ocean Beach, taking pictures of people enjoying the coast. At one point, he was focusing on a man surfing and realized the surfer was getting a little too close to another. He leaned on his shutter and captured the near-miss happening right before his eyes. A frog has been snapped riding on top of a fish. The crafty creature was caught surfing on the head of the bright yellow Koi carp in a stunned couple's pond in their back garden.
